F.A.Q. and T&C’s

How to prepare for my Workshop?

We suggest trimming your nails prior to your workshop, wearing old clothes (bring an outfit change for afterwards) and bring a camera phone for memories & to take a photo of your artworks! While clay is non-toxic and washes out of clothes easily, be prepared for a gloriously muddy time!

Provided in your workshop – all the clay, instruction and use of our equipment.

Can we BYO Snacks?

Playing with Clay can work up quite the appetite. So feel free to bring your favourite snacks & refreshments along!

Do we each make something?

The number of artworks we include in your booking is detailed on the booking page of each workshop. For most workshops, an adult & child will work on the same creation together.

Can my Child come alone (without a parent/guardian)?

While we wholeheartedly believe these workshops will be full of magic, we would like to take a moment to talk about you & your child’s attendance.

We created these workshops to give families bonding opportunities, away from the blue screen. While these workshops are about the kids, and adults do have time to play with clay themselves too, the collective goal of all the adults in the room (us included) is to help your child feel supported with undivided attention and encouragement.

You will need to purchase a combo ticket – $149 admits 1 adult & 1 child. As the accompanying adult, you are responsible for the care & supervision of your child/children on the day of the workshop. Get Muddy Workshops, and their staff, require you to be on site for the duration of your child’s stay with us. Because in truth, we just don’t want you to miss out on a minute of this very creative, unique, family-orientated workshop.

How long until we can collect our artworks?

Firing takes approximately 10-12 weeks – depending on the thickness of your artworks and if they need any repairs whilest they are drying. We fire all 3 of our kilns about twice a week, so while we are often ahead in our firings, if one artwork out of larger needs special attention, it will delay the entire order, as we only send out pickup text messages when your entire order has made it through the kilns.

You can read more about our artwork firing policies and our breakage policy, by clicking here.
